NFL quarterback Kyle Boller and former Miss California Carrie Prejean are getting married this Friday at the Grand Del Mar hotel in San Diego, California.
Boller, 28, was a first-round pick during the 2003 draft. He was drafted by the Ravens and played for the team for 6 years. He then played for the Rams where he started four games. In April this year, he signed with the Raiders.
His bride-to-be is 23-year-old Prejean, an ex-beauty pageant contestant, known for her controversial answer during the 2009 Miss USA pageant. Perez Hilton, one of the pageant judges, asked her about same-sex marriage issues in the United States. Prejean said, “I think in my country, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there, but that’s how I was raised.”
She went on to win first-runner up, but a few months later, Miss USA competition owner Donald Trump stripped her of her crown for “continued breach of contract issues.” She filed a lawsuit against the pageant officials citing religious discrimination, but withdrew after a sex tape came out.
The couple got engaged in February and has been dating for about two years.
