Scott Graham, a New Jersey state trooper, was found dead in his patrol car on Wednesday at around 7:30 in the morning.
Graham shot himself to death inside his cruiser, which was parked on a Garden State Parkway exit ramp. This is the second violent death case for the NJ state troopers. Less than two weeks ago, Trooper Marc Castellano was killed by a car on Interstate 195 while doing a search for the owners of an abandoned vehicle.
State Police Superintendent Rick Fuentes said, “The tragic death of Trooper Graham today deepens the wound that the New Jersey State Police family suffered from the recent death of Trooper Castellano.” The authorities are still trying to figure out if Castellano’s death had an effect on Graham’s decision to kill himself.
Graham, 35, is survived by his wife and three young children.
