Nokia unveiled today their newest entry into the smartphone industry: the Nokia C5, with a slim, sleek look geared for mobile social networking.

In addition to the standard phone features provided by Nokia, the C5 has been optimized to allow access and integration into social networking media, such as Facebook and MySpace, in as easy and seamless an integration as possible. For example, the Nokia C5 press release suggests that users can keep their favorite social network contacts on the C5′s home screen. It seems that Facebook updates are also fed into the phone’s associated contacts.

The phone also comes with support for Ovi Maps, as well as a 3.2-megapixel camera and a bundled 2 gigabyte memory card.

The new Nokia C5 is expected to ship sometime during the second quarter of 2010, at a price of approximately $182 (135 euros).
