Actor Orlando Bloom and lingerie model Miranda Kerr are engaged! A spokesman for Bloom confirmed the news to Entertainment Tonight.

Carlii Lyon, Kerr’s publicist, added, “The entire Kerr family is thrilled with the news. It is a very exciting time for both of them.”

The couple first met at a lingerie fashion show in New York in 2006 and started dating about a year later.

The Victoria’s Secret model and the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star have always been tightlipped about their relationship. In 2008, in an interview with People magazine, Kerr said that the 33-year-old actor was “a sweetheart and that’s all I’m gonna say.”

There were reports that the two broke up some time in 2008, but got back together when Bloom met Kerr’s parents in Sydney.
