Pacquiao vs Clottey – It’s been quite an eventful wait leading towards tonight’s fight where Filipino pound-for-pound champion Manny Pacquiao will be bashing fists with Joshua Clottey, natively from Ghana.

Pacquiao was originally scheduled to fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. tonight. That fight was scrapped, however, when the two teams couldn’t come to terms with fight regulations. While both sides tried their best to reach a compromise, the tension just became too chaotic for both when Mayweather’s camp insisted that Pacquiao undergo Olympic style random drug-testing. Pacquiao’s camp declined, saying that they would be willing to subject themselves to the blood tests required by the screening even as soon as the fight was over, just not 30 days before the fight.

Tonight’s fight with Joshua Clottey has boxing critics all abuzz; critics are skeptic that Pacquiao would be able to bring Clottey down this time around, with Clottey considered to be the top welterweight contender with a record of 35 wins (20 KO) and 3 losses. Pacquiao is entering the ring tonight with 50 wins, 3 losses and 2 draws under his belt, with 38 wins from KO.
