Ages of these racers are nothing new to racers alike and motorcycle racing aficionados but is a total shock to the rest of us. Motorcycle racing ranks in the likes of football and gymnastics when it comes to the state of injury its athletes are prone to.

Lenz was riding the No. 45 bike, believed to be a 250cc machine.
It was said the 2.621-mile course was a slick track because of the hot, dry weather.
