Mirroring a number of other renowned fighters, returning Mexican champion Erik Morales has also expressed his great interest to trade punches with Filipino fighter Manny Pacquiao for the fourth time in the ring.
“Defeating Pacquaio is my greatest accomplishment in the ring,” says Morales in a report by The Telegraph. “I would love another chance at Pacquiao.”
Erik ‘El Terible’ Morales is the last fighter to have defeated 7-division world champion Manny Pacquiao, who many consider to be the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world. Morales is planning on making a comeback to the sport on March 27 in Monterrey, Mexico after retiring from boxing back in 2007. He will be fighting WBA lightweight champion Jose Alfaro from Nicaragua for the WBC intercontinental welterweight title.
“At 147, I’m faster than ever and freer with my body so I can get the most out of it,” says Morales, who sports a 48-6 record, 34 of which are knockouts.
