Investigators have recently discovered that Michael Jackson had kept Propofol, a potent anesthesia, in his home in Holmby Hills.
Propofol, which is more commonly known as Diprivan, is an anesthetic usually used for surgeries and clinical procedures. It is delivered by IV, and can take effect in as little time as 40 seconds.
Cherilyn Lee, one of Jackson’s former nutritionists, said that the singer once “begged” her to give him Diprivan for his insomnia. “‘Find me an anesthesiologist—I don’t care how much money they want—find me an anesthesiologist to be with me here overnight and give me this IV,’ ” Lee quoted Jackson during an ABC News interview.
Lee had warned Jackson that the Diprivan could have lethal side effects, including cardiac arrest, of which Jackson died of last June 25. Lee had also come forward earlier this week, claiming that she had also warned the singer against the use of certain drugs.
Authorities have also found prescription medicine at the Holmby Hills house, but are not disclosing what these were.
