Protesters to Obama : denounce Iran elections

Demonstrators gathered Saturday at the White House to call on US President Barack Obama to denounce the results of the recent Iranian presidential elections.

The hundreds of protesters that gathered wanted Obama to ask for the support of the United Nations to ask for a re-election, or at least a recount, in Iran. Many have expressed opinions that the lack of practical and public action by the White House regarding the current turmoil in Iran is countermeritive, and stains Obama’s credibility and leadership impressions.

The Iranian protest led by Mir-Hossein Mousavi is motioning that the results from the just concluded Iran elections are invalid and illegal, with Mousavi reiterating that he was the true winner and that the election should be annulled.
