Rapper T.I. has been released from a prison in Forest City, Arkansas on Tuesday after being behind bars for seven months.
He was sentenced for a year and one day in March this year due to weapons charge, after he was caught attempting to purchase firearms in a Wal-Mart parking lot in 2007.
The rapper, whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr, will move to a correctional center in Atlanta Georgia. He will serve the remainder of his sentence at the Dismas Charities Atlanta West, a non-profit facility close to the Fulton County Airport.
Aside from jail time, T.I. was also put on house arrest, asked to complete 1,000 hours of community service and penalized a fine worth $100,000. He made a reality series on MTV called “T.I.: The Road to Redemption” to document his experiences.
Reports say T.I. will begin working on a new project while at the correctional facility in Atlanta.
