“The Real Housewives of D.C.” gets canceled

The D.C. version of “Real Housewives” won’t be back for a second season, Bravo announced Thursday.

In an e-mail to The Washington Post, Bravo’s executive vice president of original programming and development Andy Cohen, said, “We had an amazing season and we told stories that were unique to any other in the franchise. I wish all our D.C. wives the best and hope to work with them again in another capacity.”

The D.C. Housewives are British interior designer Cat Ommanney, Mary Schmidt Amons, White House party-crasher Michaele Salahi, modeling/talent agent Lynda Erkiletian, and realtor Stacie Scott Turner.

“Real Housewives” has five other versions: New York, Atlanta, Orange County, Beverly Hills and Miami. D.C., which debuted August last year, becomes the first Housewives franchise to not get a second season.
