Kim Kardashian’s former flame, professional football player who plays for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League, Reginald Alfred “Reggie” Bush II, 25, would reportedly return his Heisman Trophy by the end of the month due to NCAA violations while still a running back at the University of Southern California.
The Heisman Trophy Trust is nearing the end of its investigation regarding the lavish gifts, cash and other benefits Reggie Bush received while a member of the Trojans. Because of this he was retroactively ruled ineligible for part of the 2004 season and all of 2005 when he won the Heisman.
This also led the National Collegiate Athletic Association to impose a 2-year postseason ban and loss of football scholarships to USC.
Bush would be the first to be stripped of the Heisman Trophy in the 75-year history of the award.
Unconfirmed reports say that instead of passing on the trophy to the runner-up the Heisman Trust would leave that season vacant.
The University of Southern California had already returned its copy of the Heirman Trophy.
