Rihanna is expected to take the stand today at Los Angeles courtroom about alleged beating by Chris Brown.
After months of silence, the award-winning R&B singer, subpoenaed by the court, will speak up in this preliminary hearing by 1:45 PM PT. Will her testimony finally prove assault charges against Brown?
Rihanna must prove to prosecutors that she has strong evidence to be able to win this case. It won’t be easy, but lawyer Donald Etra is confident and tells Daily News, “She will testify truthfully.”
A source from TMZ speculates if Brown’s lawyer Mark Geragos will cross-examine Rihanna. If it happens, the trial might take a different turn and paint Rihanna as the initial aggressor while Brown acts in self-defense.
Rihanna and Brown had a brief reconciliation before calling it quits. Today may finally be their last big date, chaperoned especially by the Los Angeles court, judges, and onlookers.
