Detroit Piston’s guard Rodney Stuckey was rushed to the hospital Friday night after collapsing on the bench during their game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Stuckey was brought out of the game on a stretcher and was taken to the Cleveland Clinic to undergo observation and a series of tests.
The game was held up for about 12 minutes as the medical team checked up on the 23-year-old.
According to Pistons’ forward Charlie Villanueva, “He (Stuckey) came over and he told Arnie he was feeling a little dizzy. He drank some water and the next thing you know, he passed out. He sat down and said he was feeling a little bit dizzy. It was very scary because you don’t know what’s going on.”
The Cavs won the game, 99-92, and LeBron James was concerned with Stuckey’s condition. “It’s very difficult. When something like that happens, we’re all one family. Our prayers go out to him,” he said.
