After ten years in power as either president or prime minister of Russia, Vladimir Putin on national television Thursday gave hints on his plans of going at it again in 2012.
The self-proclaimed modest man points out the widening gap between the haves and have-nots in his country as one reason for him to consider running again as nation’s leader.
“Some businessmen have no sense of social responsibility and just want to squeeze as much money out of people as they can,” quotes a report by Telegraph.co.uk.
The prime minister made the announcement of considering a return to the presidency in his annual call-in show seen by millions of viewers.
Questions are now abound whether he will be upstaging his successor President Dmitry Medvedev in the forthcoming elections.
