Saints win, to face Colts at the Super Bowl XLIV

The 2010 NFC championship game has just ended, with the New Orleans Saints winning over the Minnesota Vikings, 31-28, in overtime.

A 40-yard field goal by Garrett Hartley saved the Saints and led them to their first ever Super Bowl appearance in franchise history. Heartley said in an interview, “Just helping my team get to Miami. Just doing my part.”

The field goal also crushed the Vikings’ chances of its first Super Bowl in 33 years.

The Saints will face the Indiana Colts at the Super Bowl.

The Indiana Colts defeated the New York Jets in the AFC final, 30-17. Peyton Manning spearheaded the impressive win with his remarkable passing and playmaking skills.

The Super Bowl XLIV between the Saints (15-3) and the Colts (16-2) will be on February 7 in Miami.
