Oscar best actress winner Sandra Bullock revealed that she is filing for divorce from her husband Jesse James after the infidelity scandal that broke out about a month ago.

“The Blind Side” actress also confirmed that she has adopted a baby boy from New Orleans, Louisiana. Bullock and James began the adoption process in 2006 and the baby, named Louis Bardo, was brought home just this January.

The couple agreed to take the divorce case in Austin, Texas. Bullock is filing for divorce on the grounds “the marriage has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities.” She says she will raise the baby by herself, as a single parent.

Jesse James released a statement to People that said, “The decision to let my wife end our marriage and continue the adoption of Louis on her own has been the hardest…Sandy is the love of my life, but considering the pain and devastation I have caused her, it would be selfish to not let her go.”
