Seattle’s Best Coffee – Apparently, Seattle’s Best Coffee revealed a revamped and redesigned logo just this week. And apparently, they’re getting a lot of heat because of it.
The new Seattle’s Best Coffee logo is garnering a lot of attention, and most of it is not good. A recent survey reports that approximately 68% of its respondents said that the franchise should try again in designing a new logo.
“High school art students could do a better job at designing a logo,” according to a blog post by one observant, pointing out the fact that the arguably ambiguous logo is being referred to as a “bowl of cereal”, and “Seattle’s Best Blood Bank”, among other snarky observations.
Starbucks, which acquired the franchise back in 2003, comments that the new logo “has to live in all kinds of environments”, implying that the new logo may have been kept intentionally generic to suit this goal. They continue to say that “(Seattle’s Best Coffee) wants it to be a universal sign for good coffee someday.”
