Sergio Kindle, a Baltimore Ravens rookie linebacker, was rushed to the hospital on Thursday after suffering a head injury from falling down two flights of stairs in a house in Austin, Texas.
In a statement released by the team, the former University of Texas star is being treated at the University Medical Center Breckenridge and is in stable condition. His doctors expect him to achieve full recovery.
Kindle, 22, has not yet signed a contract with the team, but the Raven’s medical staff are following his health progress. Ozzie Newsome, the general manager of the Baltimore Ravens, said, “Members of our medical staff, including Bill Tessendorf and Dr. Andy Tucker, have spoken with doctors in Texas. We understand Sergio is stable at this time and that he is being tested and observed.”
The 6-foot-3, 25-pound Kindle, who was drafted 43rd overall in April, will not be joining the rookie training camp at McDaniel College starting Monday.
