Super Bowl champions Pittsburgh Steelers succeeded in converting their final play against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, winning the game 37-36 and keeping themselves in the playoffs.
Mike Wallace completed a 19-yard pass from QB Ben Roethlisberger on the final play, and Jeff Reed successfully kicked for the extra point that won the Steelers the game.
The Steelers’ victory ended their 5-game slide streak while ending the Packers’ 5-game win streak.
Roethlisberger also threw 503 yards, a team record, while converting for three touchdowns.
The Steelers, having lost all their games since early November, will need to win two more games, in addition to relying on other teams’ losses, to remain in the postseason. They are among six teams currently in the playoffs with a 7-7 record.
