Five Guys Burgers makes the best fast food burgers in the United States – this is based on more than 6,000 responses to a survey conducted by Zagat.
The survey divided the different food chains into four categories:
- Large (those with 5,000 or less outlets in the U.S.)
- Mega (those with more than 5,000 U.S. outlets)
- Full-service (table service)
- Quick-Refreshment (more on ice cream, beverages, etc)
Five Guys is based in Virginia and has 500 outlets across the country. Coming in second place is In-N-Out, followed by Wendy’s, Burger King, and then McDonalds.
In the Best French Fries category, McDonald’s snatched the top spot, overtaking Five Guys, In-N-Out, Wendy’s and Burger King.
The Best Milkshakes award went to Dairy Queen, beating out Cold Stone Creamery, Sonic, Chick Fil A, and Ben & Jerry’s.
