Taylor Swift wins top song at the BMI, second year in a row

Taylor Swift is up for some more attention for winning her second straight song of the year award at the BMI Country Awards last Tuesday.

Swift won the award with her song “Love Story“. The BMI event also named  Bobby Pinson as the songwriter of the year, and Sony/ATV Music as publisher of the year.

Swift is slated to vie as a contender the day right after the BMI event as entertainer of the year.

“I just want to say to every songwriter and every loved one of a songwriter, thank you, because you are the reason I wanted to try Nashville,” Swift said in a speech. “You are all my heroes.”

Broadcast Music Inc. (BMI) is a performing rights organization.
