Her album Fearless took home the Album of the Year Award, while the chart-topper ‘Love Story’ was named Music Video of the Year.
Other noteworthy victors of the awards night are former Hootie and the Blowfish lead singer Darius Ruckers, who bagged the Best New Artist Award, and Sugarland, who took home the Best Vocal Duo of the Year for the third consecutive time.
‘I Run To You’ by Lady Antebellum was proclaimed 2009 Single of the Year, while ‘In Color’ by Jamey Johnson was 2009 Song of the Year.
