NBA veterans Theo Ratliff and Matt Barnes have signed with the Los Angeles Lakers, hoping to add depth and experience to the defending champion’s lineup.

Ratliff, 37, played with the Spurs and Bobcats last season for a total of 49 games. He averaged 3.6 points and 3.2 rebounds. He was part of the starting lineup of the Bobcats in 26 games, in which he averaged 5.7 rebounds, 1.54 blocks and 4.2 rebounds. He has been in the NBA for 15 years and has had the chance to play for several other teams like the Pistons, Hawks, Timberwolves and 76ers.

Barnes, 36, played for the Orlando Magic last season. He played 81 games, in which he averaged 8.8 points and 5.5 rebounds. He was a former UCLA Bruin.

Ratliff received a one-year deal while Barnes got a two-year contract.
