Tiger’s niece fails to qualify on first LPGA tourney

Cheyenne Woods, Tiger Woods‘ niece, has failed to qualify on her first professional LPGA tournament, with four strokes over her qualifying criteria, on the Wegman’s event of the LPGA tour in Rochester, New York.

Her rounds having been delayed by thunderstorms, Cheyenne had been competing strongly, with a two-under at hole ten, but failed to keep it after a triple bogey sent her reeling down on hole eleven. She finished the round with a birdie at hole twelve.

Cheyenne, who had been competing under a sponsor’s invite, was the daughter of Tiger Woods’ half-brother Earl Jr.

Eun Hee-Ji, the defending champion, also failed to qualify after finishing 71, seven strokes over.

Well, everything and everyone starts from that right? :) I'd like to think that she'd just go at it again with greater determination next time.
