The fashion world is seldom rocked by scandals but this coming August something close to, and even better than a scandal, is going to hit magazine stands.
As models take anybody’s first attention not-so-keen readers might sense something redundant and a little bit wrong. The July issue of W Magazine and the August issues of Elle UK and British Vogue would all somehow be alike.
Models notwithstanding, they have different faces. But the dress on the models on the cover of these three fashion giants would all be the same. They would all be a particular Miu Miu dress.
Too much process goes through any dress making it to the cover of any magazine as any fashion insider knows but this recent faux pas of three fashion bibles is an indication that something went wrong as close as Miu Mui’s mother brand, Prada, is concerned. Press offices of fashion houses always see to it that their same dress doesn’t end up in competing magazines especially if these magazines belong to the same country.
Among the three magazines mentioned as having the same dress on their covers W Magazine and British Vogue are both under Condé Nast Publications.
