The 35-inch long, black hair of NFL player Troy Polamalu has reportedly been insured by Head & Shoulders for $1 million.

Polamalu, who is an endorser and spokesperson of the shampoo company, joked, “It’s like J.Lo’s insured butt!”

They got the insurance through Lloyd’s of London, which did not disclose what anybody should do to the Pittsburgh Steelers star’s crowning glory to collect on the policy.

Head & Shoulders stated this reason why it decided to insure Polamalu’s hair: There are men and women in America who are keen to know the secrets to this kind of Samoan curls.

Polamalu revealed his hair ritual, in which he said he spends around 45 minutes pregame. “It’s correlated to what a warrior in the past would do to prepare for war. You have the Mongolians, the Japanese Samurai, the Spartans – all of these warriors with long hair…and in that way you can almost get into the mind-way, preparing for some type of battle when you are doing your hair.”
