Wes Bentley cast as Seneca Crane in “Hunger Games”
 

“American Beauty” actor Wes Bentley has landed a role in the movie adaptation of “The Hunger Games.”

Bentley, 32, will play Seneca Crane, the head gamemaker of the 74th Hunger Games. He joins Jennifer Lawrence (who will play Katniss Everdeen), Josh Hutcherson (as Peeta Mellark), Liam Hemsworth (as Gale Hawthorne), and Elizabeth Banks (as Effie Trinket) in this upcoming film from Lionsgate.

The big-screen adaptation of Suzanne Collins‘ best-selling trilogy is directed by Gary Ross and will hit theaters on March 23, 2012.
